Running Man Variety Show

Don't Walk, But Run!

Don’t Walk, But Run!

Am a huge fan of the korean variety show, “Running Man” since its first episode five years ago.  Dubbed as a new concept action variety show, the program features various locations in South Korea and incorporates them as part of the games/challenges that the hosts and guests need to win.

I love the show’s concept because aside from the fun and exciting games that viewers can watch, we also get to see South Korea’s beautiful tourist spots and destinations. No wonder it has become popular not only in SK but also in other countries.

If you haven’t watched any of its episodes yet then I suggest you do! I can guarantee you’ll have lots of fun watching each episode and you’ll love the members’ too! They’re a bunch of fun-loving, goofy individuals 😀

Bailing Out of the Rat Race

welcome to the maze

welcome to the maze

The way I see it, the problem with life is people are always in a hurry – in a hurry to make a decision, in a hurry to prove something, and in a hurry to lose control. Nobody seems to have an idea on how to slow down. It’s like a rat race and everybody’s trying to outdo one another through a series of complicated mazes without any idea on where they’re going.

What most people don’t realize is that life is never about rushing things.  It is about making things as simple as possible.  It’s about taking all the pieces one by one in a slow rhythmic motion and enjoying the moments while doing it.

If 365 days make a year then what makes your day? your year? Can you honestly say that your life is great if you can’t even recall a single moment when you actually felt happy and contented? Do you want to spend the rest of your life going through mazes without a clear view of what you want or where you’re headed?

Bailing out of the rat race does not mean that you are quitting. It only means that you have finally found what it is that you’ve been looking for. If you can only slow down and stop doing things in a hurry all the time then you will probably be able to see that one right path that’s laid out for you.

Am beginning to see mine. And in time I’ll be able to get a clearer picture of what lies ahead.

Still don’t see yours? Don’t fret. Slow down. Have patience. And before you know it, you’re standing right in front of it.

Slow Sunday Playlist………

“Life is for the living.
Death is for the dead.
Let life be like music.
And death a note unsaid.”

            – Langston Hughes

Been wanting to create a list of songs that I love listening to each day of the week. Am a music lover and I don’t stick to a particular genre. If the melody and the lyrics are good then it gets included in my playlist. The song is in another language? Not a problem, if it’s good then am listening to it. Song too old? That doesn’t matter either as long as I like it.

Here are the songs that I usually listen to on Sundays to chill out and relax. Are they included in your playlist too?

  1. Augustana – Empty Days

Augustana was a band I used to be obsessed with in the past that I had to keep replaying their songs over and over until my ears bled (well, not literally haha). Empty Days is one of the songs perfect for a slow Sunday. You, with a guitar, chillin’ alone by the porch or prolly with your significant other.

  1. Her Space Holiday – The Heartbreak Moment

I fell in love with the song the first time I heard it. This is an excellent song, perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon while hanging out with friends and reminiscing about lost love. Marc does an excellent job on the lyrics……“So I pulled my feelings out and left them in your travel case, All the while we hear the sound of our time ticking away”

  1. Adele – Chasing Pavements

My favorite Adele song. I admit am not a huge Adele fan but this song is hard to ignore. Wasn’t into the song the first time I listened to it but it definitely grew on me and now it stays at the top of my playlist. “Should I give up, or should I just keep chasing pavements?” ……hmmm….it’s difficult to choose between the two…..

  1. Fastball – Out Of My Head

Who doesn’t love this song? I never get tired listening to this track.  It has a calming effect on me that I just have to play it when am feeling so stressed out, which happens a lot haha. When I asked my friend to say something about the song, she says its perfect for chill-out Sundays and she’s right on that ^_^

  1. The Cranberries – Just My Imagination

I love The Cranberries! I remember writing letters to MTV when I was younger to request for any Cranberries song. I have their albums in cassette tapes and would play them all the time. Saw them in concert and I had tears in my eyes all throughout. I was so happy when they included this song in their track list.
