Slow Sunday Playlist………

“Life is for the living.
Death is for the dead.
Let life be like music.
And death a note unsaid.”

            – Langston Hughes

Been wanting to create a list of songs that I love listening to each day of the week. Am a music lover and I don’t stick to a particular genre. If the melody and the lyrics are good then it gets included in my playlist. The song is in another language? Not a problem, if it’s good then am listening to it. Song too old? That doesn’t matter either as long as I like it.

Here are the songs that I usually listen to on Sundays to chill out and relax. Are they included in your playlist too?

  1. Augustana – Empty Days

Augustana was a band I used to be obsessed with in the past that I had to keep replaying their songs over and over until my ears bled (well, not literally haha). Empty Days is one of the songs perfect for a slow Sunday. You, with a guitar, chillin’ alone by the porch or prolly with your significant other.

  1. Her Space Holiday – The Heartbreak Moment

I fell in love with the song the first time I heard it. This is an excellent song, perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon while hanging out with friends and reminiscing about lost love. Marc does an excellent job on the lyrics……“So I pulled my feelings out and left them in your travel case, All the while we hear the sound of our time ticking away”

  1. Adele – Chasing Pavements

My favorite Adele song. I admit am not a huge Adele fan but this song is hard to ignore. Wasn’t into the song the first time I listened to it but it definitely grew on me and now it stays at the top of my playlist. “Should I give up, or should I just keep chasing pavements?” ……hmmm….it’s difficult to choose between the two…..

  1. Fastball – Out Of My Head

Who doesn’t love this song? I never get tired listening to this track.  It has a calming effect on me that I just have to play it when am feeling so stressed out, which happens a lot haha. When I asked my friend to say something about the song, she says its perfect for chill-out Sundays and she’s right on that ^_^

  1. The Cranberries – Just My Imagination

I love The Cranberries! I remember writing letters to MTV when I was younger to request for any Cranberries song. I have their albums in cassette tapes and would play them all the time. Saw them in concert and I had tears in my eyes all throughout. I was so happy when they included this song in their track list.
